CSA Add-On Shares

CSA add-ons are shares from other local farmers and Schul Farmstead that will enhance your local food experience. Perfect for those wanting to expand their support of local farms, experiment with new products or ingredients, and make the most of in season items such as fruit or herbs.

How it works: When registering for our produce CSA share, you have the option of adding a share of other local food products. These items will be ready for you at your weekly pick up location.

CSA members will have until May 20, 2022 to add cheese and bread shares to their produce share. Please email schulfarmstead@gmail.com if you would like to add a cheese or bread share to your membership after registration.

Additional add-on shares will be added and communicated to members as they are finalized.

Cheese

We’re partnering with Eden Valley Creamery to bring you artisan cheese from certified organic milk. Their cows receive no antibiotic treatments, artificial hormones, and no pesticides or herbicides are used on their crops and fields. In the summer time, they enjoy the sunshine and the growing grass.

Shares feature a rotating sequence of an 8oz. container of curds and an 4oz. block of aged cheese.

Curd varieties include: Buffalo, Garlic, Horseradish, Onion & Chives, Original/Plain, and Tomato Basil. Get the flavor details.

Aged Cheese varieties include: Buffalo Roads Swiss, Farmer in the Dill, Good Neighbor’s Gouda, Homegrown Havarti, and Queen City Cheddar. Get the flavor details.

Bi-weekly shares begin June 13 and continue on odd weeks for 10 weeks for $150. Weekly shares begin June 13 and continue for 20 consecutive weeks for $300.

Curds will store for 3 weeks and cheese will store for 2 months.

Bread

Fresh, organic loaves baked by Schul Farmstead. Breads feature organic, whole grain flours, ingredients from our farm, and only local maple syrup or honey when sweetening fits the recipe — no refined sugars!

Each share includes one loaf — a rotating selection of Rustic Italian, Rosemary Sage, Multi-Seed, Hearty Rye, and Sourdough.

All bread prepared in a kitchen that uses milk, wheat, soy, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, and peanuts.

Bi-weekly shares begin June 13 and continue on odd weeks for 10 weeks for $70. Weekly shares begin June 13 and continue for 20 consecutive weeks for $140.
