Yoga in the Orchard: Autumn Equinox Flow Yoga & Bouquet Bar

Class is located in the apple orchards at Senek Farms near the corner of Dickersonville Rd & Youngstown-Wilson Rd in Ransomville, NY.
Bring your yoga mat and surround yourself with apples – the symbol of this equinox & the harvest of life.
Among the apple trees, Jess of Senek Farms will help us to align our energies with the Autumnal Equinox with an hour-long yoga sequence and meditation.
After yoga, you’ll savor warm, spiced apple cider crafted with Senek Farms apples.
Before you leave the apple orchards, craft a bouquet of pesticide-free local flowers from Aurora of Schul Farmstead, to bring beauty and protection into your home.
What to bring:
– Be aware of the weather and bring layers for maximum comfort

How to Grow, Create, & Taste a Bouquet Class
Thursday, October 1, 6 – 8pm

During this class farmer-florist-herbalist Aurora of Schul Farmstead will lead you learning how to grow flowers in your garden, design a bouquet, & create a floral herbal tea with harvests from your garden.
She’ll teach you what annual and perennial varieties thrive in Western New York, how to source seedlings and start seeds, and provide some examples of garden layouts and spacing based on square foot garden methods.
This is all based on her experience as a community garden manager, a garden in her backyard and her 6 years of commercial farming experience.
With flowers harvested from her spray-free farm in Cambria, she’ll teach you the 6 floral elements needed in bouquet design, while she walks you step by step in creating a bouquet you can take home with you.
Then she’ll guide you in learning & taste testing edible flowers and herbs grown on her farm to help you create your very own unique herbal & floral tea blend that you can take home with you.

Winter Solstice Yoga & Intention Setting Class

With low music, candle glow, & a crackling fireplace, we’ll light the way as we come to the darkest nights of the season.
Jess of Senek Farms & Senek Botanicals will guide you in an hour-long gentle, flowing yoga sequence & meditation.
After yoga, you’ll savor warm tea, cider, & pastries made with locally grown herbs & fruit.
You’ll be guided in an intentions setting activity by Aurora of Schul Farmstead, deciding what you want to leave behind as you enter the next season (fears, goals, mindsets, etc.) as you decorate evergreen intention wands.
The evergreen intention wand is yours to take home to burn or bury when you are ready to leave behind this season & enter anew.
