What’s a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a reciprocal partnership connecting farmers and customers to share in the bounty of the local food and agriculture movements.

Throughout the growing season, the farm provides a weekly share of agriculture products to customers, or “members“, in exchange for the financial support provided during the off-season for the purchase of seeds.

This partnership provides members with weekly, fresh, in-season vegetables while creating a reliable market for the farmer.

“Great variety and beautiful produce! We looked forward to our share every week. I loved the Sunday email to help me plan our meals. We also appreciated the range of information provided to get the most out of our share from preserving to using as much of the plant as possible. Thank you!”

Our CSA

As a member of Schul Farmstead’s CSA, you’ll receive a package, or share, of vegetables for 20 consecutive weeks, from the week of June 13 to October 28.* Shares generally meet the needs of 2-veggie lovers or a meal-prepping family of 4.

We believe healthy soil produces nutritious and tasty veggies, so we employ ecological practices such as composting, cover cropping, mulching, and crop rotation. We never spray pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides on our produce.

Weekly shares include a 7oz. bag of salad mix, a bundle of fresh herbs, and 5-9 additional vegetables (with some fruits also planned). You can catch a glimpse of what crops to expect each month in your share on our calendar.
